My Item Is Not What I Expected. What Do I Do?

At BuyWander, we do our best to make sure every item is accurately described, photographed, and tagged. But retail returns can be unpredictable, and sometimes an item doesn’t meet your expectations when you pick it up. Here’s how we handle it:

Check the Listing First

  • Every item comes with photos, notes, and condition tags.

  • Always review these details before bidding — they’ll give you the best idea of what to expect.

If You Already Picked Up Your Item

  • You have 7 days from the auction end to return your item if it’s not what you expected.

  • Returns can be brought to any BuyWander location during pickup hours (Monday–Friday, 10 AM–7 PM).

  • Refunds are issued as WanderBucks or back to the card you used at checkout.

  • No partial refunds — either return the full item or keep it.

If You Haven’t Picked Up Yet

  • If your order hasn’t been picked up, you can still cancel the pickup by removing the item from your cart before checkout.

  • Once payment is made, the purchase is final (but you may return it under the 7-day policy above).

Important Reminders

  • Payment deadline: You must pay by 11:59 PM the day after you win or the item will be relisted.

  • 4-hour prep rule: Items must be paid at least 4 hours before your pickup appointment to be included in that visit.

  • Restocking fee: Items not picked up by the start of Day 8 after the auction ends will be charged a $2 per item restocking fee.

Quick Summary
